What is my hand baggage allowance?
You are permitted one small piece of hand baggage of not more
than 10kg and dimensions not in excess of 50x38x26cm. It is not
possible to use your hand baggage allowance against your checked
baggage allowance or vice versa.
Is there a charge for hand baggage?
Your hand baggage allowance is free when checking in on-line,
however if you are travelling with hand baggage only and choose
to check-in at the airport, there will be a charge of £2.
What is my checked baggage allowance?
Each customer can take a maximum of 5 bags per one way flight
(provided the relevant charge per bag has been paid) but these
cannot exceed a combined maximum weight of the relevant
allowance as detailed below. Anything over the allowance will be
charged at the prevailing excess baggage rate. No single bag can
weigh more than 25kgs. The charge for each bag is variable
depending on the destination and whether you make your booking
via our website, our call centre or at the airport. Discounts
may apply if you choose the on-line check-in option during the
booking process.
Baggage charges when checking in on-line
If you choose to check-in on-line during the booking process,
you may be eligible for an online discount of up to £4 per
person if you are taking hold baggage. Please remember to
check-in on line and print your boarding pass prior to arrival
at the airport, as failure to do so will result in you having to
check-in at the airport and pay additional charges as the
on-line discount will no longer be applicable. If you have
checked-in on-line, then you should proceed straight to the ‘Bag
Drop’ desks. On-line check-in is available from 28 days up to 5
hours prior to departure.
There are two adults and two children in my party, what is our
baggage allowance?
Your baggage allowance is 17kgs per person if you booked on or
prior to 19th October 2008 and are departing before 31st March
2009. Your combined allowance would be 68kgs provided you have
booked at least one bag per person. Anything over this amount
would be charged as excess baggage.
If you booked on or after 20th October 2008 or you are departing
on or after 31st March 2009 your baggage allowance is 22kgs per
person provided you have booked at least one bag per person, the
combined allowance would be 88kgs. Anything over this amount
would be charged as excess baggage. |

Do I
need travel insurance?
We highly recommend that you take out personal travel insurance
to cover you for costs associated with delays and other travel
mishaps or eventualities. UK customers can purchase this online
through Travellers Protection Services Ltd. Insurance is
available from one day to annual cover, for European or
Worldwide travel, including the option for winter sports cover
(UK passengers only). Remember you must declare any pre-existing
health conditions. This policy also gives you the peace of mind
that in the event of you being taken ill onboard, irrespective
of any pre-existing health conditions, you will be covered for
claims for reimbursement of Jet2.com's flight diversion costs
e.g. landing fees, fuel costs of up to GBP 15000.
Jet2.com is not liable for damage to sports or outsize
equipment, including wheelchairs, pushchairs, travel cots and
children's car seats, carried, nor is the airline liable for
damage to baggage not fit for purpose or damaged by fair wear
and tear or replacement of "designer" baggage. Consequently
insurance cover is essential for such items

How
early can i check in?
Our airport check-in desks open two to three hours before the
scheduled departure time and close 40 minutes (30 minutes on
domestic flights for passengers with hand baggage only) before
scheduled departure by which time passengers must have completed
the checking-in process.
At Jet2.com, we work hard to achieve on-time
departures and, as there are mandatory preparations and
calculations that can only be completed after check in has
closed, we regret that it is highly unlikely that you will be
permitted to travel if you arrive late.
We strongly recommend all passengers to check-in no
later than 2 hours before the scheduled departure time. If you
are planning to travel with excess baggage please allow extra
time to complete the check-in process.

Will I get a
ticket?
Jet2.com does not use paper tickets. Bookings are stored
electronically. At time of booking you will be given a six
letter booking reference and sent an itinerary/receipt. When you
check-in for your flight you will need your booking reference
plus your passport and any relevant visa that may be required.
You do not need the email confirmation itself.
